Favourite holiday destination: Thailand. I think it’s one of the best places to visit and you have so much variety in a relatively short amount of time. You can start your holiday with three nights in Bangkok to see the city and the nearby sights, then a short flight (or longer scenic train journey) up to Chiang Mai for a totally different type of experience. The food there is great and the culture is more authentic Thai. After that you can fly directly to the islands in the south for a relaxing beach holiday before your venture home.
Favourite accommodation: Siam@Siam Design Hotel & Spa in Bangkok. It’s an amazing mix of Thai and modern design, stunning rooms and a rooftop Infinity pool.
Dream round the world itinerary: My dream itinerary would be London to South Africa, India, Singapore, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Beijing, Sydney, Fiji, Auckland, Santiago, Rio, Miami, New York then London. A dream RTW ticket for me has to include a mix of adventure, new sights, local food and the beach can’t be missed. A round the world trip is all about experiencing new or interesting situations, whilst being immersed in local culture.
Expert tips: Business Class Round the World tickets are incredible value for money when you consider the amount of long haul business class flights you can use on the tickets. A Business Class return flight to New York at peak times can cost the same as a 16 stop RTW fare with fantastic airlines and all with fully flat beds. When you view the price in that regard it’s amazing value for money.
