Days 2-3
Hanoi

Hanoi

You’ll have a full day to explore the city, joining your guide for a tour pointing out the French colonial architecture, and visiting the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long. Later, in the Old Quarter, you’ll meet with a local family to see how to make traditional papier-mâché masks, before having a go at making your own. Finish the day with a local street food tour.

Day 4
Halong Bay

Halong Bay

There you will hop on board a traditional paddle steamer and sail to the Sung Sot Grotto, where there are opportunities to kayak and swim, before watching a Vietnamese cookery demonstration and sampling some canapes. After a tasty dinner, you’ll watch Indochine on the ship’s sundeck and then spend the night out on the water.

Hoi An

Hoi An

You’ll have a full day to explore the quaint streets and waterways of this delightful town, with a free morning followed by an afternoon walking tour and a street food tour, where you’ll have the chance to make and sample the local dumplings and Vietnamese baguettes. In the evening, dine by lantern light at the beautiful Dao Tien River Restaurant.

Days 7-8
Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City

Visit the local medicine and tea shops before heading out for a lovely Vietnamese dinner at Hoa Tuc. The next day, join a cookery class at the GRAIN cooking studio and learn how to make authentic Vietnamese snacks and dishes. The rest of the afternoon is yours to explore at leisure.

Days 9-11
Siem Reap

Siem Reap

You’ll have three days in the city to explore the Angkor Wat complex with your stone conservation expert guide. Highlights include a visit to Ta Prohm and a sunset cruise along the moat of Angkor Thom. While you’re here, you’ll also enjoy a cruise through the mangroves to Kampong Phluk, to visit a Khmer community whose houses are built on stilts.

Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh

Afterwards, pay a visit to the harrowing Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and learn about life in Phnom Penh under the tyrannical rule of the Khmer Rouge. Finish the day with a visit to the Central Market.
