Toledo & Cordoba
Toledo & Cordoba
The next day, continue across La Mancha, stopping in Valdepenas for wine and tapas at a local bodega. Spend the next two days exploring Cordoba at your own pace; peruse the old town, try out the local cafés, relax with a treatment or two in a local hamman and explore the city’s striking architecture. Don’t miss a visit to the Mezquita, a World Heritage-listed mosque in the heart of the city.

Granada
Granada
Continue to the magnificent Jaen Cathedral, set in the lush countryside, before arriving in Granada. Here, you’ll take in the Alhambra, a breath-taking Moorish palace perched on a hilltop outside the city, before having a free afternoon to stroll through vibrant gardens, discover the beautiful cathedral and taste delicious food under your own steam.

Ronda
Ronda
Here you’ll admire the spectacular clifftop views, and have time to explore the town itself, where you can visit the 14th century Arabic bathhouses and the Bullring (Plaza de Toros), where there is a museum depicting the history of Ronda’s bullfighting dynasties. Spend the night in Ronda.

Seville
Seville
In Seville, you’ll be treated to a traditional flamenco show before having a full day to explore this beautiful city under your own steam. You could search out Roman ruins, Moorish mosaics and classical squares. Or take yourself on a tapas tour, hopping from bar to bar, sampling Andalucían specialities in each.

Lisbon
Lisbon
At a farm in the Sierra de Aracena, you’ll sample the famous Jamon Iberico and visit the Castle Vila Vicosa. Spend the night in Estremoz before travelling to Lisbon the next day. The capital of Portugal, Lisbon is the ideal spot to get acquainted with Portuguese culture – admire the white and orange buildings, ride the funiculars, take in the architecture and treat yourself to a glass of sangria or two.
