On arrival in Canberra, you’ll walk through impressive Parliament House with a local guide and visit the Australian War Memorial before enjoying dinner with your Tour Director and travelling companions.

Ainslie in Canberra Nature Park to take in views of this unique city and surrounding ranges. Journey over the mighty Murray River into Victoria taking the scenic route to historic Beechworth, Victoria’s best preserved gold rush town for your unique overnight stay in one of the bed and breakfast properties. The region offers plenty of great photo opportunities, with towering winter snow-capped mountains, tree-covered ranges, magical lakes, wild rivers and tranquil rural farmlands. Get to know Beechworth with an orientation and enjoy some free time to explore the legendary Beechworth Bakery as well as antique shops, galleries and the museum.

You’ll have time to discover some of the secrets of this exceptional city – with plenty of cafés, galleries, museums, markets, restaurants, laneways and parks to choose from. If you wish to explore further, you can join a day tour to the famous Penguin Parade on Phillip Island. Or, visit the Yarra Valley wineries, the Dandenongs and Puffing Billy Steam Train or Sovereign Hill’s goldmine.

This morning visit Worn Gundidj at Tower Hill State Reserve. The area was a rich food source for the Koroit Gundidj people whose descendants retain links with this country. Your guide will provide you with an Aboriginal perspective about flora, wildlife, volcanic formations and medicinal practices. Continue to Mt. Gambier to visit the mysterious Blue Lake and then travel on to Adelaide, the gorgeous capital of South Australia.

You’ll drive through quaint villages on your way to Maggie Beer’s Farm Shop, where you’ll have the chance to purchase some gourmet delights (seasonal). Now it’s time for a ‘boutique tasting’ lunch at the South Australian Company Store. At the Company Kitchen you’ll enjoy a scrumptious meal, including a tasting plate, and wine tastings from two boutique wineries. Later, visit Jacob’s Creek winery to try some of their famous wines before returning to Adelaide.
