Itinerary

Day 1
Welcome to Cairns – Port Douglas

Welcome to Cairns – Port Douglas

On arrival into Cairns you’ll be transferred to your resort in Port Douglas (flights anytime). The rest of the day is yours to explore or relax in this tropical paradise. Port Douglas is perfectly situated where two World Heritage Listed sites, the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest meet. This relaxed seaside village is positioned at the end of a peninsula, surrounded by the calm waters of the harbour on one side and sandy stretch of the famous Four Mile Beach along the other. Port Douglas offers plenty for you to see and do.

Day 2
Mossman Gorge

Mossman Gorge

Journey through the rainforests and awe-inspiring landscapes of Cape Tribulation, located in the heart the Daintree National Park. The area was named by explorer Captain James Cook in the 1700’s when his ship, ‘The Endeavour’ scraped a reef and he named that point Cape Tribulation, because there began all his troubles. Visit the Mossman Gorge Gateway Centre and enjoy an indigenous presentation by the traditional owners of the gorge, the Kuku Yalanji people, before boarding your eco shuttle for the transfer into Mossman Gorge. Upon arrival your Driver Guide will take you on a walk through this enchanting rainforest, sharing their knowledge of this ancient environment. With special access at a private rainforest property, enjoy a short walk along a delightful forest creek before a delicious tropical lunch. Wind through the Alexandra Range and stop at a spectacular lookout for views of Snapper Island and beyond to the Coral Sea before a Daintree River Cruise.

Day 3
Great Barrier Reef - Cairns

Great Barrier Reef - Cairns

An experience of a lifetime today – cruise to an underwater world that is a kaleidoscope of colour and brilliance on an Outer Great Barrier Reef Cruise to Agincourt Reef, located at the very edge of Australia’s Continental Shelf. Choose to dive, snorkel, or stay dry and explore the stunning reef from the comfort of a Quicksilver semi-sub, just one metre underwater. Entering the dramatic beauty of the Great Barrier Reef is an extraordinary experience. It’s a day that engages all your senses, lifts your spirit and takes you into another realm. After a full morning of exploring this magical aquatic environment, enjoy a delicious tropical buffet lunch before heading to Cairns for the next 3 nights.

Day 4
Kuranda

Kuranda

Start your day on the Kuranda Scenic Railway for a breathtaking journey over the Barron Gorge and through the ancient rainforest to the picturesque village of Kuranda. Upon arrival in Kuranda, it’s time to explore this fascinating village. The Heritage Markets operate 7 days a week and are full of colourful and interesting arts and crafts. At the scheduled time, board the Skyrail Cableway and travel high above the canopy of the rainforest back to Cairns.
