White Castle
Welcome to Plantation Country! Here in White Castle, dotted with sugar cane plantations, you’ll enjoy a relaxing stay on the delightful Nottoway estate, where a striking antebellum mansion set among lush grounds serves up tasty local Creole dishes. You can choose to take a guided tour of the house’s lavish rooms, where marble fireplaces and opulent décor are the norm. Be sure to try the chicken and sausage jambalaya before you leave. Delicious!

Natchez
Immerse yourself in Civil War history in Natchez, high up on the banks of the Mississippi River, where antebellum mansions are two a penny. Take a look around the largest octagonal house in The USA, Longwood, or tour the town in a traditional horse-drawn carriage. Further afield, why not try the Natchez Trace Parkway, a historic route stretching 444 miles to Nashville. You won’t have time for all of it, but drive a small section to see the plentiful historic sites and beautiful rural scenery.
