Itinerary
Fly from UK to
Milan
Check into your hotel and spend the afternoon exploring Italy’s fashion capital. Paradise for shoppers, Milan is bursting with fashion houses including Gucci, Prada and Armani. Take in one of the many art museums, including Santa Maria alle Grazie Basilica, home to Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece, The Last Supper. Or simply stroll around the heritage-rich centre, where you’ll find the Gothic Duomo di Milano. You can even climb up to the roof of this building for incredible views of the city’s rooftops.
5* Palazzo Matteotti
Lake Como
It is here you’ll find enchanting Lake Como’s cerulean waters, which are set against the spectacular backdrop of the Grigna Mountains. Peruse the narrow climbing streets of the quaint old town of Cernobbio, a picturesque town boasting a stunning waterfront, narrow streets and inviting piazzas which are lined with boutiques, cafes and restaurants. Marvel at the colourful villas, dating back to the 19th century, stroll by the lakeside promenade and soak up the peaceful cosmopolitan vibe. Book a front-row table at Il Gatto Nero, which promises unobstructed views of the shimmering lake. Stroll past the grand 18th and 19th century villas in nearby Tremezzo, stretch out on the exclusive beach at Menaggio, or take a seat at one of the town’s many cafes in the main square and soak up the sun while watching the world go by.
4* Grand Hotel Imperiale Resort & Spa

Lake Garda
Stretching from the plains towards the Dolomites, this is the largest lake in Italy. Surrounded by undulating mountains, it is also home to palatial hotels, a majestic landscape and plentiful lemon groves. Head to fairy-tale Sirmione and peruse the Roman ruins and thermal springs, explore the picturesque village of Gardone and take a stroll through the botanic gardens, or indulge in a spa treatment at the hotel. Our Experts recommend the pretty town of Bardolino for fine Italian wine. Don’t miss the chance to dine at Osteria al Pescatore Restaurant. On the eastern shores of Lake Garda facing the marina, there is no menu here. Instead, waiters bring you the freshest seafood while you soak up the sunset.
4* Grand Resort Du Lac Et Du Parc

Verona
Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet began here and to this day, romantic types can declare their love under the balcony at Juliet’s House, and admire the much-photographed statue of Juliet herself. Take it all in with a guided walk tour of the city. Wander across Castelvecchio Bridge – otherwise known as Ponte Scaligero, this fortified bridge over the Adige River is pretty striking both for its unusual red brick design and also its delightful river views. Continue to the Arena, a huge Roman amphitheatre built in the 1st Century AD and still used today for opera performances.
