Northern Thailand and Bangkok
The northern part of the country is the Thailand of culture and adventure, complete with ancient temples, pulsating cities, bustling markets and dense jungles home to traditional hill tribes. It’s here too that you’ll find Thailand’s fascinating Golden Triangle, wild Asian elephants, and national parks crammed with lakes, grottoes and waterfalls.
Southern Thailand and the Islands
It’s all about the beaches on Thailand’s islands, found scattered across the Andaman Sea to the west and the Gulf of Thailand to the east. Here you’ll find soft white sand, warm turquoise seas and a plethora of underwater wonders. What you do is up to you: choose from various outdoor adventures, or simply relax on the soft sand and do nothing at all.
