London » Bangkok (make your own way to) Singapore » Perth (make your own way to) Sydney » Auckland
Travelling throughout the country is easy, with a number of transport options to choose from between internal flights, buses and boats, so you can easily visit several destinations on your holiday. Stop over in Bangkok on your journey back from the island of Koh Samui to stock up on some bargain fashion items; start your trip trekking through the northern hills before travelling south to complete a diving course in Phuket; combine an amazing cookery course in Chiang Mai with a week on the beaches of Koh Lanta to top up your tan - the choices are endless.
Malaysia is full of hidden gems - take a break from the heat of Kuala Lumpur with a trip to the rolling hills of the colonial Cameron Highlands, enjoy a jungle trek, visit a tea plantation or relax on one of the many tropical islands and beaches, from Penang to Langkawi. Enjoy a few relaxing days in the city of Singapore perusing the delicious food stalls in the hawkers markets or shopping on the upmarket Orchard Road. Then jet off Down Under to the west coast city of Perth, where your Australian adventure begins.
Depending on how much time you have, you could spend a few weeks exploring the unique west coast - journey south to the lush wine region of Margaret River - a haven for surfers as well as wine lovers - or travel north, where you can feed dolphins in Monkey Mia, swim with whale sharks in Ningaloo Reef or sunbathe on the spectacular 22 kilometres of Cable Beach in Broome. Alternatively dissect the country on a spectacular train journey all the way from Perth to Sydney via Adelaide on the Indian Pacific Train. If you wish to explore the dusty Red Centre, home to the iconic Uluru (Ayers Rock), you could fly to Ayers Rock or Alice Springs and join a tour that will take you from Uluru to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas), and through the incredible Kings Canyon. From here either join the unique Ghan train on a journey to Adelaide or Melbourne, or fly on to the east coast for a few more weeks' exploration. Your last flight will take you from the sunny city of Sydney to Auckland on New Zealand's North Island.
