Itinerary

Day 1 Calgary (B,L,D) - Meet and greet in Calgary joining hotel at 8am. Enjoy a quick tour of Calgary before pushing onto Kananaskis Provincial Park, a diverse landscape including outstanding scenery, snow capped mountains, abundant wildlife and the cowboy feel. We head to Chester Lake Trail in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park for an introductory hike in the Canadian Rockies and then arrive in Banff around dinner time.

Day 2 Banff/Jasper (B,L) - Enjoy the views from the famous Icefield Parkway en route to Jasper. We stop along the way to take in the flourishing forests, gigantic mountains, turquoise lakes, tremendous waterfalls and fantastic glaciers. Hike on Parker Ridge, Bow Falls, or Valley of Five Lakes trails and enjoy a tasty lunch in the heart of the Canadian Rockies.

Day 3 Jasper (B,L) - Morning cycle to Maligne Canyon. Winding canyons, roaring water and exciting scenery. We end our bike ride at the canyon and then onto Maligne Lake for a picnic overlooking the lake. Hike the Bald Hills trail or choose from an optional canoe ride on the lake. Stop in Maligne Valley for wildlife observation. Keep an eye out for elk, moose, bears and even the elusive wolf!

Day 4 Jasper/Lake Louise (B,L) - Stop at Athabaska Glacier and Columbia Icefield en route to Lake Louise. Optional ice walk or snow coach tour. In Lake Louise we take time to savour the emerald blue waters and breathtaking scenery. Hike to Lake Agnes Tea House and then onto the Plain of Six Glaciers Trail, or walk down the easy trail to the waterfront to rent a canoe or relax on Chateau Lake Louise's terrace.

Day 5 Lake Louise/Yoho NP (B,L,D) - A day of hiking, adventure and fun in spectacular Yoho National Park, including Takakkaw Falls, the second-highest falls in Canada, and then onto Emerald Lake.
