Itinerary

Day 1 Adelaide Kangaroo IslandLeave the ‘City of Churches’ behind and head off to experience the untamed natural beauty of Kangaroo Island. Get close to native wildlife at a birds of prey show at the stunning Vivonne Bay. Visit the strange rock sculptures of the Remarkable Rocks for a multitude of impressive photo opportunities. See fur seals while hiking to Admirals Arch in the Flinders Chase National Park. In the afternoon, head to the Western River wilderness region for a chance to see koalas and to enjoy a swim at sheltered beaches protected from the wild southern waters. After a day of action, experience the true essence of camping with an overnight sleep under the stars in a traditional Aussie swag.

Day 2 Kangaroo Island/ AdelaideStart the day by kayaking along the pure waters of the Harriet River. Gliding with stealth through this pristine wilderness allows for some great opportunities to encounter the wildlife for which the island is famed - not to mention it’s great fun! Then, ramble among giant sand dunes at Little Sahara before joining a National Park Ranger for a guided walk along the beach at Seal Bay. See how many sea lions you can count basking in the sun and be sure to soak up the sweeping coastal vistas here. This bay is a definite highlight of this trip. With free time in the afternoon take this opportunity to hit one of the island’s magnificent beaches for the chance to enjoy snorkelling, swimming and hiking. Breathe in fresh sea breezes on the return ferry journey to the mainland. Arrive back in Adelaide late in the evening where the adventure ends.
