Adventure can be anything outside of the day-to-day. It doesn't have to mean white-water or bungy, but can be about the destination, the activity, the company you're in, the wildlife you see, the cultures you visit. Relaxed or full-on is your choice.

Secret South Downs

2 days £119 from
The UK's South Downs could be considered a road cycling mecca. Blessed with the perfect mix of decent weather, rolling terrain, small scenic towns offering everything that a cyclist would need and miles and miles of low-traffic country roads, it's easy to see why this area is such a favourite with riders. As with anywhere in the world, first class local knowledge is the only way to get a real insight into the area and if you're on a tight timescale, the best way to fit the maximum value into your time there. For this reason, we're going to be using the incredible knowledge of local resident, Jo Burt. Jo has been riding his bike around the lanes of Sussex for over 25 years and knows the road network intimately. Jo will be leading both rides and will be putting his local knowledge to find the best routes to show off what the South Downs have to offer cyclists.

Peak District Trails

3 days £170 from
The Peak District National Park is home to some of the UK's finest mountain biking. The sheer volume of trails is quite incredible, with everything from fast, twisty moorland singletrack to boulder strewn jeep trail and most things in between as well! The challenge for some visitors though is to find the best trails to ride when you only have a short time available - this is where Exodus come in. Our guides for this weekend have ridden there since the mid-1990s and know the area intimately. During the course of the weekend we will undoutedly tackle some of the more famous trails such as 'Roman Road', 'The Beast' and the 'Lockerbrook Farm' descent, but our guides will use their local knowledge to take you away from the crowds on some of the less well known (but no less brilliant) trails on offer here. It's not just about the riding though - we've managed to secure accomodation in Hope, right in the very centre of the Peaks, which allows us to ride straight from the door. There will also be plenty of top class food, with all meals included in the price of the weekend. One of your guides for the weekend will be Exodus staff member (and CTC qualified mountain bike guide) Olly Townsend, who will be able to answer questions about our worldwide cycling trips. Olly will be running an informal slideshow on the Saturday night to show you some of the highlights from our Cycling brochure.
