Day 3-5, Chiang Mai
Grab your things and board the plane for Chiang Mai. Step away from the bright lights of Bangkok and discover a little more about local Thai living. Travel past rural river banks dotted with traditional wooden houses and luxurious modern residences before stopping at a local market. You could take a trishaw ride past the city walls to Wat Phra Singh in the middle of the old city, visit the famous Thai elephants that live here or simply relax and take in the beautiful mountain scenery.

Day 6-12, Phuket
