This Classic itinerary starts with the lively and spirited Buenos Aires on the East coast of the South American Continent. After travelling on to the historical city of Lima, follow in the footsteps of the Incas and trek up to the jaw dropping sights of Machu Picchu! Watch the sun rise over the incredible remains of this once great civilisation set high in the hills above Cuzco.
After your tour, you will find yourself in the capital of Bolivia, La Paz where you can visit the many markets, Cathedrals and beautiful Churches in the region. Santiago in Chile is the next stop on your journey. This city of great contrasts is very exciting as within 100 km's of each other you have great ski slopes and beautiful beaches and it is possible to visit both in the same day! It is then on to Easter Island to see the world famous Moai, the stone giants that Easter Island is so famous for.
Following Easter Island, the next stop is Papeete, the capital of French Polynesia before heading on to exciting Sydney on Australia's East coast. After Australia, you will arrive into South East Asia and the fabulous beaches of Bali, followed by the hustle and bustle of vibrant Singapore.

Buenos Aires – 5 days
Buenos Aires combines the laid-back ambience of a European capital with the fiery passion of a Latin-American barrio, a combination that makes a Buenos Aires holiday irresistible to most. Travel to Buenos Aires for beaches, delectable shops, stunning weather, colourful neighbourhoods and arguably the best nightlife in the world, all the ingredients for a wonderful holiday in Buenos Aires.
Santiago – 5 days
A modern metropolis mingled with the breath of the past, a holiday in Santiago is perhaps not as exciting as a visit to one of the other major South American cities, but it is nevertheless a city with distinctive personality, great sites, colourful markets, lively street life and an awesome museum devoted to pre-Columbian exhibits. Many also travel to Santiago to use this city as a base for outdoor adventures, and excursions to wineries, national parks and ski resorts.
We recommend you stay at the Holiday Inn Express from £39 per person per night and add on La Campana National Park Full Day Tour from £78 per person.
Lima - 7 days
A holiday in Lima may not sound a desirable prospect if one considers it is a city of almost 8-million, most of them living in poverty and pollution. The metropolis was, however, once the pride of the Spanish colonialists and retains enough history and character to tantalise and charm tourists, and there are some fascinating archaeological sites and museums to explore in and around the city. The vibrant nightlife is yet another good reason to travel to Lima.
We recommend you book a G.A.P Adventures South America Overland Tour from Lima to La Paz from £600 per person.
Easter Island – 5 days
Rapa Nui, or 'Navel of the Earth' as the natives know it, is one of the world's most isolated places, situated 2,361 miles (3,800km) west of mainland Chile. It is practically an open-air national park protecting the archaeological sites and Moai, the giant stone statues that the island is famous for, which are scattered all over the landscape.
We recommend you book an Easter Island 3 night package from £256 per person.
Tahiti – 7 days
French Polynesia's main island of Tahiti stands sentinel over her surrounding sisters like a proud queen, her soaring interior mountains sheltering deep valleys, plummeting waterfalls and crystal streams flowing down to the rugged coastline of black and white sand beaches and blue lagoons. Tahiti is made up of two islands, Tahiti-Nui and Tahiti-Iti, joined by a narrow isthmus.
We recommend you stay at the Sofitel Bora Bora Beach Resort from £138 per person per night.
Sydney – 7 days
Sydney is the first port of call for many travellers arriving into Australia. Famous for its beautiful harbour, iconic Opera House and Harbour Bridge, Sydney has plenty to entertain its visitors. Why not visit one of Sydney's many beaches and have a surfing lesson, climb the magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge or venture out to the World Heritage Listed Blue Mountains and experience one of Australia's natural wonders.
We recommend you stay in the Travelodge Sydney 3* from £38 per person per night and add on a Bridge Climb from £91 per person, a Learn to Surf in Bondi from £43 per person, a Harbour Cruise from £22 per person and a Blue Mountains Day Trip from £57 per person.
Bali – 7 days
Bali has long been equated with an exotic paradise, a picturesque vision of green rice fields and plantations, soaring volcanoes, cool lakes and rushing rivers, lush forests and palm fringed beaches. With its fine beach, the popular resort of Kuta is the most visited destination, but there are numerous other beach resorts around the island, and many more peaceful settings on the east coast at Candidasa, Sanur and the fishing village of Padang Bai, and on the northern coast at Lovina.
We recommend you stay at the Inna Putri Hotel Cottages 3* from £19.50 per person night and add on an Ubud Arts and Crafts Tour from £20 per person and a Sunset Dinner Cruise from £28 per person.
Singapore – 3 days
Singapore embodies the finest of the east and west, from colonial architecture to efficient business centres and serene gardens. Attractions include watching the jungle come alive on a night safari at Singapore Zoo, or take a trip to Sentosa Island or treat yourself to a Singapore sling at the renowned Raffles Hotel.
We recommend you stay in the Copthorne Orchid 3* from £39 per person per night.
